ABOUT KNITTING WHOLESALE JOBS BLOG SHOP

Waejong grew up in Korea. She moved to Japan where she lived for 12 years and studied Japanese language and later opened a Korean fusion restaurant in Nagoya with her sister. She moved to New York city in 2001 and she learned to crochet from a book. One day she took a long vacation from her corporate job and never went back because all she really wanted to do was to crochet all day long. She met Anna in a fabric painting class she took at FIT and they founded Loopy Mango together in the fall of 2004 just on a whim. Waejong is the creative force behind everything. She has a German Shepherd named Loopy and an orange cat named Mango. She likes to dress up Loopy in Victorian clothing. Her favorite color is of course pink. Waejong is very loopy. Anna grew up in Russia and moved to Seattle, WA with her family when she was 15. She got a degree in math and worked as as Software Test Engineer for Microsoft and Expedia for 5 years. She got tired of the corporate world and moved to New York City to become an artist. She met Waejong in a class she took at FIT and they founded Loopy Mango together. Anna is the driving force behind everything. She drives everyone crazy. Her favorite color is red. She is Russian after all. Anna doesn't have a dog. She doesn't have a cat. But she is totally loopy.
Lauren grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, via the West Coast. She wanted to be many things when she was a young girl, such as a Marine Biologist, a lawyer, and most of all a very pretty Princess. Her dreams of these things seemed to stay merely as childish dreams though. Instead little Lauren became a makeup artist, that led to her discovery of her tremendous love and knack for making everything in the world beautiful! In turn her passion has come through to the real world in form of beauty editing. She moved to New York on one very stormy night, to escape the south and to create a beautiful, interesting new life for herself, that didn't involve expectations of a 1950's house wife. When Lauren isn't buzzing around the store making sure everything is in it's designated spot or being a human paper doll playing dress up for Anna and Waejong, you can find her digging around various antique stores, knitting, or creating rather strange collages in her living room. Her favorite color is rainbow. She aspires to own both a cat and dog one day, and will name them Pepito and Boris. Until then she will remain pretty loopy, as her co-workers make it their mission to assure she gets more and more loopy every day. Brianna grew up in Northport, NY. She moved to Manhattan to study Knitwear at FIT. She enjoys the finer things in life. Such as good food, great friends, beautiful weather, and luscious yarn. When she grows up she would like to be a designer with a hint of motivationalist and utilitarian. Her favorite color would be rainbow (how could you choose just one?). Lauren and Brianna dual over who loves rainbows more, there will never be an answer! Brianna is Loopy's touch of honesty, knitting love, pure excitement, and space cadet, she is the best at breaking anything and everything fragile that is in her path. She has a cat named Charlie, who is in desperate need of a sister kitty. Bri's about 60% loopy, although her percentage is readily increasing.
Leigh is originally from Chicago, Illinois. Because she can’t sit still she didn’t last there long and ended up in London discovering her love for fashion and learning about it at the London College of Style. She loves abstract style and hopes that one day she can combine this passion with writing. Wide eyed and motivated, she recently moved to NYC with her needle in hand ready to pop the Manhattan bubble and conquer it. Leigh’s biggest passion is traveling and learning new languages (she speaks Spanish and Italian with French or German next on the list!). Her favorite thing to do in NY is wonder into small jazzy coffee shops, read her horoscope for the day and write about anything and everything. She just picked up knitting and hasn’t been able to put the yarn and needles down since. The loopiness of the other girls has been contagious and she finds herself getting loopier every day!
